Dying Light 2 Stay Human detailed fixes and improvements

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a fun and ambitious game, but not without technical drawbacks. Earlier today, Techland released a patch for consoles and PC designed to eliminate various bugs while beefing up the adventure with some improvements. If you’re looking forward to going wild in Villeror this weekend, your play should be smoother.

Techland tweeted each batch of updates by platform, which we have listed below:

computer

  • Added additional video settings (including motion blur and distance blur)
  • Fixed crashes that resulted in the player ending up in a deathloop after the co-op session. Some extreme cases have not yet been fixed and are being investigated.
  • The death screen now has a button that allows spawning the player within the mission area avoiding a lock
  • Fixed several crashes and improved game stability
  • Added option to switch in-game narration between localized and original (English)
  • Various improvements to keyboard and mouse key combination options (including the option to toggle walk and toggle between toggle and hold aim)
  • Proper music is now suitable for peers in co-op sessions

PlayStation/Xbox

  • Fixed several situations where players could be disconnected in co-op
  • Fixed several crashes
  • Fixed various story blocks
  • Added additional video settings (including motion blur and distance blur)
  • Fixed crashes that resulted in the player ending up in a deathloop after the co-op session
  • Fixed issue where player could not sell valuables to seller
  • Fixed issue with music streaming mode causing a song to not be muted
  • Fixed issue with AI being immortal in some rare situations when playing co-op
  • Fixed various issues with stealth gameplay in co-op
  • Fixed various issues when AI could be locked to geometry
  • Added several AI visual tweaks (including AI animation related issues)
  • Various balance improvements
  • Fixed rare issues when co-op teammates couldn’t see dialogue options
  • Various performance optimizations
  • Fixed various situations that could cause infinite black screens
  • Co-op AI corpse replication fixes
  • Fixed infinite loads
  • Fixed custom mission music for teammates in co-op session
  • Fixed occasional screen flickering on PlayStation 5
  • 60+FPS VRR Mode Enabled on Xbox Series X
