Horizon Forbidden West arrives on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on February 18, and it looks like gamers are excited to return to Aloy’s journey because its predecessor, Horizon Zero Dawn, has just passed a new milestone: 20 million copies sold.
It’s no surprise – Zero Dawn is one of the best-selling PlayStation games and it makes sense that more people would have purchased it before Forbidden West. What better way to follow the story of Aloy’s first journey in the original 2017 game? Still, 20 million is a huge number.
“Wow, Horizon Zero Dawn has officially sold over 20 million copies worldwide on PS4 and PC,” PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst wrote on Twitter today. “What an incredible achievement [Guerrilla Games], and a big thank you to our extremely supportive fans. Now, let’s get ready to visit Horizon Forbidden West in a week.”
In addition, Hulst also revealed that over 1 billion hours of Horizon Zero Dawn have been played. There are many machines destroyed.
As Hulst notes, Forbidden West comes to PlayStation next week on February 18th, and while you wait for that day, stay tuned. all of Gaming Tech Gear Horizon Forbidden West Coverage.
