Valheim just received a new update (sent via the public test branch) that tweaks the game to run better on steam deckand features a host of new content, fixes, and full gamepad support.
Valve handheld PC it’s coming out soonand the update prepares Valheim by optimizing the default Steam Deck settings and also displaying the controller layout when playing in the Deck.
Full controller support has been implemented for PC, including context menus showing controller buttons and gamepad legend being displayed in settings and pause menu. That’s another change here – the ability to pause in single-player.
Plus, expect the usual quality of life improvements and bug fixes, and a bunch of new content that includes a new dungeon, Frost Caves, with new enemies, crafting materials, and more.

It’s nice to see a big update for Valheim, though of course it’s still in testing here, so expect a little uncertainty, and many people will be waiting for the full release before taking the plunge. , by the way).
